Bahrain yesterday condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist Houthi militia for its continuous attack on Saudi Arabia and global trade routes.

The Arab coalition said yesterday that it foiled an attack using two bobby-trapped boats off the coast of the Al-Hudaydah port in Yemen. Coalition shot down a drone flying towards civilian targets in the city of Khamis Mushait.

Yesterday’s incident, Bahrain’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said, is the continuation of the militia’s sinful approach threatening maritime safety of the global trade lines south of the Red Sea.

The Foreign Ministry statement commended the vigilance of the coalition forces in supporting the legitimacy in Yemen and the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces for promptly responding to an imminent threat. Bahrain reiterated its full backing to Saudi in measures deemed necessary to neutralise the threats against its citizens and facilities.

The ministry called upon the international community to take deterrent measures against the terrorist Houthi militia to stop such actions.
