Charity societies' role stressed

Labour Minister highlights the importance of community partnership in facilitating charity work

The role of charity societies in meeting the developmental goals of the nation was stressed by the Labour Minister yesterday. This came as Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel Humaidan held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Northern Governorate’s Municipal Council, Ahmed Al Kooheji, and a number of heads and representatives of charity societies in the villages of Saar, Maqaba, Al Shakhoora, Al Qadam, Abu Saiba and Al-Hajar.

The meeting reviewed areas of cooperation with the Labour and Social Development Ministry, and the facilities provided for charity societies in order to be able to play their role across the Northern Governorate’s villages. The charity societies’ demands regarding the regulation of charity and voluntary work were also discussed.
