London: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to become the first foreign leader to be welcomed by Britain's new Prime Minister Andy Burnham in a visit that is meant to emphasise the UK's longstanding support for Ukraine.

The discussion is anticipated to concentrate on Britain's support for Ukraine during its ongoing war with Russia, as well as initiatives to boost European security and support Kyiv's defence. Zelenskyy's visit would also provide an early chance for Burnham's administration to convey its foreign-policy priorities and highlight the United Kingdom's dedication to work closely with Ukraine and its European partners.

Zelenskyy's visit to Britain could enable both leaders to address sustained assistance to Ukraine, the country's long-term rehabilitation, and security assurances, while also reinforcing the message that Kyiv has strong international support.
