Brazil’s football confederation (CBF) has dismissed coach Dorival Junior following a 4-1 defeat to Argentina in their World Cup qualifier.

The humiliating loss in Buenos Aires proved too much for the 62-year-old, who was appointed in January 2024 after Brazil failed to secure Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti. The defeat to their fierce rivals led to the decision, marking the end of Dorival's short tenure.
