The German Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain hosted a celebration marking the Day of German Reunification at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel.

The event, held to commemorate the 34th anniversary of Germany’s reunification, was attended by the Foreign Minister, His Excellency Dr Abdul Latif Al Zayani, who was the guest of honour.

The event celebrated the historic milestone of German reunification, a moment that was seen in Europe as the start of an era of peace.

The German Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Clemens Hach, in his speech, highlighted the current global challenges.

Touching on international affairs, Ambassador Hach highlighted Germany’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people.

Vision for peace He expressed Germany’s endorsement of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision for peace in the region and reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to humanitarian aid through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and other channels.

“Germany remains one of the strongest supporters of the Palestinian people, not only through our massive humanitarian aid but also in using our political influence to help achieve the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian nation,” the ambassador said.

The event underscored the enduring partnership between Bahrain and Germany, with hopes for continued peace and cooperation in a challenging global landscape.
