An explosion rocked the headquarters of Mexico's National Human Rights Commission, the organization said Thursday, though no injuries were immediately reported.

The blast took place in Ecatepec, outside Mexico City, according to the organization's director Luis Raul Gonzalez Perez. He condemned the attack, and called on authorities to launch a "prompt investigation into the facts, and punish those responsible."

In May, an explosive device hit a Mexican federal police building and another blew up in front of the National Electoral Institute in a northern city of the violence-plagued country.
