Bahrain’s Parliament Opens Final Legislative Term with Packed Agenda

The Council of Representatives today held its first procedural session, marking the start of the fourth and final term of the sixth legislative session. The new phase signals a busy legislative period filled with draft laws and proposals currently under review.

During this term, the Council is set to discuss 39 draft laws and government-referred bills, along with several proposals for new laws and parliamentary motions submitted by MPs.

A highly active legislative and oversight period is expected, as parliament members focus on tackling major economic and livelihood issues. The Council is also determined to complete the remaining items on its legislative agenda before the conclusion of the sixth legislative term.
