Bahrain has secured the bid to host the 17th edition of the Arab Games in 2031, while Jordan will welcome the 18th edition in 2035. This decision was announced during the 22nd General Assembly meeting of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, held today in Jordan, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Union.

The Bahraini Olympic Committee was represented at the meeting by Board Member Fajr Jassim, Director of International and Arab Relations and Olympic Solidarity, and Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Ahmed Abdel Ghaffar.

The meeting included a review of reports on the 15th Arab Games, which took place in Algeria in 2023, and the Arab Women's Club Games in Sharjah from February 2-12, 2024. Additionally, the annual report for 2023 was approved, along with the financial statements and the independent auditor’s report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023. The meeting also saw the appointment of Pure Company to develop the association’s strategy moving forward.
