A 58-year-old Bahraini man is the Kingdom’s latest casualty of the battle against the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The Ministry of Health announced the death late night yesterday on its Twitter handle. The statement, without disclosing any further details of the victim, offered its condolences to the family of the deceased.

With this, the total number of deaths in the Kingdom has risen to 104 and total cases to 32,039 There are currently 4,722 active cases in Kingdom, of which 4,669 cases are stable, while 53 patients are critically ill. Eighty-four people, who contracted the infection are currently undergoing treatment at various virus facilities around the Kingdom.

Out of 8,801 COVID-19 tests carried out yesterday, 511 new cases have been detected among 251 expatriate workers,255 new cases are contacts of active cases, and five are travel related. The ministry also reported 693 new recoveries from COVID19 yesterday, increasing the total recoveries here to 27,213. Total tests, since recording its first case on 21 February 2020, conducted by the Kingdom now stand at 649,020.
