Bahrain has become a global destination for motorsport events, said His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as he toured the Bahrain International Circuit.
The visit followed the first practice session of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2022 race, yesterday.
His Royal Highness toured the paddock and track area, where he met with senior Formula 1 personalities, team managers, racers, and race organisers and listened to a briefing on preparations before the start of the final race.
Later in a statement to Al Ayam, HRH said the practice sessions were exciting and Bahrain is the first winner of this race, regardless of the results.
His Royal Highness expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of the Kingdom’s national workforce and their dedication and contribution to the organisation of various sporting events.
