Bahrain have slipped three places in the latest FIFA rankings for April 2025, falling to 84th in the world and 12th in Asia following a tough run in World Cup qualifying.

Recent defeats to Japan and Indonesia have seen Helio Sousa’s side lose ground, despite showing promise earlier in the campaign. With crucial qualifiers against Saudi Arabia and China on the horizon in June, Bahrain will be aiming to regain form and keep their World Cup hopes alive.

The team now faces a pivotal period as they look to bounce back and climb the rankings, knowing that strong performances in the coming fixtures could be vital in shaping their path to the 2026 World Cup.
