This will be the first event of its kind in the Middle East and Al Shamlan noted the efforts of Shaikh Nasser and the organising committee in this regard to ensure the right conditions for the more than 1,100 male and female triathletes from not only Bahrain and the GCC but worldwide from all nationalities who are competing.

Al Shamlan said that this is a high profile sporting event which will portray Bahrain for all its achievements and in a good sporting light as the latest of many high profile events that the kingdom has successfully hosted.
