‘Solid foundation for modern state’

MP Dr Maryam Al Dhaen described the National Action Charter as “a turning point in Bahrain’s democratic and developmental journey,” saying it laid “a solid foundation for a modern state built on justice, equality, and respect for freedoms and rights.”

She stressed that it was more than just a document — “it was a roadmap for the future, shaping a new era of reform and progress.”

She said the charter had strengthened Parliament and oversight bodies, allowing lawmakers and the government to work together in ways that “directly benefit Bahrainis, improving their lives and securing a stable future.”

Al Dhaen credited Bahrain’s progress to “the clear vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with steady support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman.
