The Smile Initiative and the Maya La Chocolaterie in Bahrain organised an event under the title ‘Golden Sweets Day’ for children suffering from cancer, as part of the annual national awareness campaign on ‘Kids-R-Golden’.

The event was organised at the Maya La Chocolaterie outlet in the Seef Mall. The organisers distributed gifts to children after celebrating birthday of one of them.

Eman Al Asraf, PR and Marketing manager of Maya La Chocolaterie expressed her happiness on organising the event by saying, “We were able to put a smile on the faces of these patients, who are children, and encourage the strength in them to fight in their treatment period. We are delighted to have a permanent partnership with Smile Initiative.”

Board member of Bahrain Future Society for Youth, Zubaida Noor expressed her thanks and support from Maya La Chocolaterie and stressed that the Smile initiative is moving forward to its fourth year in spreading awareness about children with cancer in various divisions of Bahraini society.
