Flood-hit families have started receiving compensation, with 561 payments made and 1,670 claims still being processed, the Ministry of Works confirmed.

The Minister of Works, His Excellency Ebrahim Al Hawaj, assured Parliament that “every dinar allocated has been spent according to the ministry’s plans” to tackle the fallout from heavy rainstorms.
