This year’s camping season will officially run from December 5, 2025, to March 25, 2026, with registration open from November 20 to 30 through the “Khayyam” initiative on the Southern Governorate app.

This was announced by His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate. HH Shaikh Khalifa chaired a coordination meeting to initiate preparations for the season, which included security, organisational, and environmental planning.

An alarming streak of exceptional temperatures has put 2025 on course to be among the hottest years ever recorded, the United Nations said yesterday, insisting though that the growing trend could still be reversed.
