A Sudanese woman strangled her one-year-old nephew to death because he would not stop crying, newspapers reported on Wednesday.

The boy’s father was out working as a taxi driver in Cairo when his wife’s sister strangled his baby after he kept crying while in bed.

His wife had left the flat and returned to Sudan following an argument, leaving her sister to look after her two children.

The baby’s father called the police after he returned home and found his son dead in his bed, newspapers said.
