The American Chamber of Commerce Bahrain (AmCham) organised a tour of the US home textile manufacturing company, WestPoint Home, for 20 Law and Business students from Polytechnic University. Polytechnic Law Tutors Teresa Chacko and Yasmin Sebah use the US-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement in their curriculum so students will have an understanding of real world business issues. WestPoint Home’s Aziz Ahmed, General Manager, Admin & Human Resources, and Imran Cheema, Managing Director, Bahrain Manufacturing & Operations began the tour with an overview of WestPoint Home’s 190 million dollar investment in Bahrain beginning in 2006 to take advantage of the FTA’s duty free benefit. They answered student’s questions on the FTA and discussed the importance of innovation.
