The 71st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia was celebrated by the Embassy of Indonesia in Manama. A flag hoisting ceremony was held at Indonesian Ambassador Chilman Arisman’s residence in Mahooz at 7am yesterday. The embassy staff and community members attended the event. There was also a Tumpeng (traditional Indonesian cone-shaped rice dish) cutting to mark the celebration.
