Teacher hits student with water hose in RAK

A sports teacher hit the student with a water hose after an argument happened between them last Thursday, Arabic daily Al Bayan reported.

A specialised committee from Ras Al Khaimah Educational Zone has launched an investigation about the incident.

The student’s elder said he would accept results of the investigation and vowed to punish the younger brother if proven guilty. He, however, stressed that the student got angry only after teacher hit him with the water hose.

Somayah Hareb Al Suwaidi, Director of Ras Al Khaimah Educational Zone, said the administration sent a committee to investigate the incident in order to take appropriate action against each party, indicating that the Ministry of Education has developed codes in dealings between the student and the teacher and vice versa in order to preserve the dignity of each of them.

She said action would be taken against the person proven guilty after a fair investigation.
