Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) Khalifa Al-Wardi received here a Dutch delegation, led by the Dutch Human Rights Ambassador Kees van Baar, in the presence of the Netherlands Ambassador Bahrain.

The assistant secretary-general expressed the SJC's keenness to enhance joint cooperation with all human rights organisations from across the world, and to open channels of communication with them to respond to their queries and to ensure the protection of rights, freedoms, and public and private property in Bahrain.

The Dutch delegation was informed about SJC’s efforts in promoting the Judiciary's competence and independence and ensuring the protection of rights and freedoms within the law and the constitution.

Members of the delegation lauded the achievements of SCJ in record time, as it was established in 2013.
