A social media user with thousands of followers is behind bars after prosecutors accused him of sharing indecent clips dressed as a woman.

The Arab national, whose name has not been made public, was filmed making suggestive gestures in women’s attire, according to Bahrain’s Public Prosecution.

Authorities said the content clearly crossed the line, offending the public’s sense of decency and breaching local traditions.

The Ministry of Interior’s Cybercrime Directorate spotted the offending posts online and alerted prosecutors.
