Riyadh: A fire at a petrochemicals plant in the eastern Saudi city of Jubail killed 12 workers on Saturday, the official SPA news agency reported.

The fire broke out during maintenance work, a spokesman for the Jubail and Yanbu industrial zone, Abdel Rahman al-Abdel Khader, told the agency.
