Official statistics from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah reveal a significant surge in religious tourism, with over 11.9 million Umrah rituals performed during the month of Jumada Al-Akhirah. This total includes a strong international presence, with more than 1.7 million pilgrims arriving from abroad. The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque noted that this high turnout reflects the Kingdom's successful efforts to streamline the pilgrimage process.

These figures align with the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing the Hajj and Umrah infrastructure to accommodate more visitors. By leveraging technology and improved services, the Kingdom aims to provide a seamless spiritual experience for Muslims worldwide, prioritizing safety, comfort, and accessibility from the moment a trip is planned until the pilgrims return home.
