Police in the Southern Governorate arrested four people for stealing BD20,000 worth of materials from a house in Isa Town. Southern Governorate Police Directorate said all of the suspects are Asian nationals.

Police said the men planned the theft after making sure that the house was empty, for which two of the suspects monitored the area regularly. The men broke into the house and took furniture, air conditioners, windows and other valuables.

The suspects sold part of the loot to two men working in a scrap shop. Police said the buyers were fully aware that they were buying stolen goods. The suspects landed in police custody after opening an investigation into a complaint received on the theft. The case is now with public prosecution.
