Parliamentary Talks Pave Way for Stronger Bahrain-UK Relations

First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, highlighted the deep-rooted historical and strategic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, praising the growing cooperation across multiple sectors. He credited the sustained partnership to the support and commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and King Charles III of the United Kingdom.

Deputy Speaker Salman emphasized the Council’s dedication to enhancing constructive collaboration with the UK Parliament and advancing joint initiatives across developmental sectors to serve the mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.

The remarks came during a reception held on Monday morning for Lord Lancaster and his accompanying delegation, attended by MP Hassan Eid Boukhamas, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense, and National Security, alongside committee members.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding cooperation in diverse fields, and elevating strategic partnerships to new horizons in line with shared aspirations. The meeting also included exchanges on regional developments, international efforts to promote security, stability, and prosperity, and other issues of mutual interest.
