Manama : Oil supplies between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have been resumed after pumping oil to Bahrain was suspended on Friday, Bapco announced yesterday. It commended Bapco and Aramco personnel for their efforts to resume supplies.

Bapco expected the normal flow of supplies to be restored soon, as per the requirements of the refinery, a statement said. The company thanked the Ministry of Interior, the security and safety teams, the Civil Defence servicemen and the on-site team for their tremendous efforts to resume oil supplies competently and avert casualties. Bapco also thanked residents in the area for their quick response and cooperation with competent agencies, which contributed to containing the blaze in record time.

The firm reiterated keenness on providing all oil by-products to meet Bahrain’s strategic needs.

“Operations are underway to increase the refining output gradually, in cooperation with Aramco, upon completion of repairs soon”, the statement said.
