National Assembly to hold virtual symposium

The Representatives and Shura councils announced yesterday that a virtual symposium will be held on Tuesday to highlight the comprehensive development achievements spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The event, themed “The Monitoring and Legislative Role in Parliamentary Work”, will be held on the International Day of Parliamentarism.

The symposium aims to support inter-parliamentary union and diplomacy by providing a platform for the two chambers of the National Assembly to highlight their roles during the second session of the Fifth Legislative Term.

Moderated by Speaker, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, and Shura Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, members of the Representatives, Shura and councils, Secretariat-General officials of the two chambers and those interested in parliamentary work will participate in the online symposium.
