Meeting held to discuss domestic violence

Manama: The Chief Advocate of Family and Child Prosecution, Shaikha Noora bint Abdullah Al Khalifa, has chaired the first coordination meeting with a delegation from the Legal Affairs Department of the North’s Security Directorate led by Captain Ali Najim Ali.

The meeting reviewed the current procedures followed in dealing with victims of domestic violence as well as obstacles faced by protection centres in sheltering abuse victims. They also discussed ways to implement resolutions issued by the Public Prosecution in line with the law on the protection against domestic violence.

The two sides agreed to hold more coordination meetings in this regard.
