Foundation stone laid for new Chinese Embassy

Manama : Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Chinese Ambassador, Qi Zhenhong, yesterday jointly laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new Chinese Embassy building in the Kingdom.

Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Khalid extended his sincere congratulations to the People’s Republic of China, praising the advanced level of friendly relations between both countries, especially after the fruitful visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to China.

Lauding the key role played by China in maintaining world peace and stability, the Minister stressed that the Kingdom is “looking forward to further develop its bilateral ties with China.”

The Chinese ambassador thanked the continuous support he receives and expressed his country’s appreciation of the growing bilateral relations.
