Efforts on to tackle rain season

Chief of Public Security, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Committee, Maj Gen Tariq Al Hassan, said that the Committee has been overseeing efforts to tackle emergency situations during the rainy season.

Interior Minister Lt Gen Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa had instructed to gear up efforts to tackle the rainy season as per the directive issued by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Maj Gen Al Hassan said the committee has directed the competent authorities to find comprehensive solutions to address the rainwater pools problem, flow of rainwater into the sewer network, in addition to preparing rapid response teams to take on emergency situations caused by rainfall.
