Manama : Bahrain's Education Ministry has issued warning to a private school in the Southern Governorate.

In a press release yesterday, the ministry said that the violations were found at the Riffa branch of Talent International and the Infant School.

The ministry said it had notified the school’s administration to rectify the violations and commit to the terms of the educational permit granted to it, in accordance with Law Decree 25 of 1998 in regards to private educational and vocational establishments.

“During several visits to the school, officials have found a number of violations. They included safety and security related violations, such as lack of fire extinguishers, alarm systems and emergency exits,” the statement said.

The ministry also noted that some electrical wiring on the school campus isn’t safe and the football ground isn’t complying with safety and security standards.

It stressed that violations that may risk students’ safety and security, and the quality of education provided to them could not be tolerated.

Established in 1971, Talent International and the Infant School is located in Um Jalid Avenue in Bokowarah area in Riffa. School officials couldn’t be reached to comment.
