Education Ministry keen on distance education for students with special needs

Manama

The Ministry of Education has affirmed its commitment to ensuring remote learning for students with special needs from all categories, including the ones with Down syndrome and autism, during the suspension of schools.

The ministry said it was communicating with the students' parents via the phone and the WhatsApp and ClassDojo, two of the most popular means of communication that could be used to reinforce positive behaviour and learning.

Parents could use the applications to display pictures and videos from the teachers to consolidate learning among the students, the ministry added.
