Cabinet Approves Proposal to Link Bahrain’s Internal Rail Network to GCC Railway

The Cabinet, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, approved a memorandum from the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications during its session on Monday.

The memorandum outlines plans for developing an internal rail network in Bahrain and connecting it to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) railway system. The project will be implemented in accordance with a specified timeline, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and supporting sustainable development goals.
