Manama : The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Bahrain and Turkey on mutual exemption of visa fees for holders of ordinary passports will come into effect from June 24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.

“The exemption is applicable to visa fees only,” the Ministry said in a statement, adding that this step affirms the common desire to reinforce bilateral ties in all fields, notably in tourism.

The MoU was signed on February 12.
