The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced the opening of reservations for a limited-edition commemorative silver coin to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s reign. The first batch of this special release will be available for reservation starting Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

The coin, which is priced at 125 Bahraini Dinars, weighs 62.2 grams and will be issued in a limited quantity of just 1,000 coins.

On the obverse, the coin features a portrait of His Majesty King Hamad along with the Silver Jubilee emblem. The reverse side displays a detailed 3D representation of Sakhir Palace, marking the first time the CBB has employed advanced 3D technology to enhance the coin's design.

In line with His Majesty's directives, all proceeds from the coin sales will be donated to charitable causes and humanitarian funds through the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.

Those interested in purchasing the coin can reserve their order through the "Appointments" application, available on Bahrain’s e-Government App Store at www.bahrain.bh/apps. Reserved coins can be collected at the Central Bank of Bahrain headquarters in the Diplomatic Area.

Details for the reservation of the second batch of coins will be announced at a later date.

This special coin release offers Bahrainis and collectors an opportunity to own a piece of the Kingdom’s history while contributing to a meaningful charitable cause.
