Bahrain continues to protect children's rights

Arab Parliament Speaker Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Asoomi affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to improving and protecting the rights of children and adolescents, in line with the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Bahrain has worked to implement programs and initiatives that provide a conducive environment for children and adolescents and prepares them for the future, he said in a statement marking World Day Against Child Labor on June 12.

Al Asoomi said these efforts include the implementation of the Restorative Justice for Children Law which aims to ensure the right of children within the judicial system.
