Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the world’s largest smelter operating at a single site, celebrated the outstanding performance of 12 contracting companies based in Bahrain for their excellence in safety and well-being throughout 2024.
The awards ceremony, held by Alba, saw the Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, present awards to the senior representatives of each honored company.
The selection of these top-performing contractors was based on Alba's comprehensive point system, which evaluates companies on three key criteria: workforce supply, service quality, and well-being conditions such as workers' accommodation, following extensive inspections and audits.
This recognition is in line with Alba’s Sustainable and Responsible Sourcing Policy, which ensures that the environmental, social, and economic impacts within the company’s supply chain are carefully managed.
