Manama : The third edition of Khalid Bin Hamad Theatres Festival For National Clubs, Youth Centres and People With Disability will boost Bahrain’s status as the birthplace of brilliant actors and actresses, directors and scriptwriters in the Arab world, said veteran Bahraini Actor Mohammed Awwad.

During a visit to the festival, Awwad also commended the efforts taken by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa in grooming local talents and ensuring their participation in cultural

Mohammed Awwad was the guest of honour of the “Speech of the Brush” play performed by Al-Naeem Youth Centre as the last additional show on the sidelines of the festival at Muharraq Model Youth Centre in Busaiteen.

Awwad praised the team members and administration of Al-Naeem Youth Centre for presenting such an outstanding show.

The play was also attended by Ahmed Al-Khayat, President of Bahrain Self-Defence Federation and Rashid Nabeel Al-Hamer, Development Manager at Al-Ayam Newspaper.

The shows at the festival conclude today with the performance of “The Auspicious Visit” play by the National Foundation for the Services of People with Disabilities Team.
