The Lower Criminal Court has sentenced 20 defendants to three months behind bars for working as security officers in a private company without receiving the required licences.

The defendants have been arrested after the police received a tip-off from the Criminal Investigation Department, which revealed that the defendants were serving as private security officers in a company without being granted the needed permits.

The accused men were also fined BD500 each for their offence, according to Prosecutors. Their bail has been set at BD500 each, pending outcome of their appeals
