Washington, DC: US President Donald Trump warned that Iran will be ‘hit very hard’ if investigations link Tehran to an attempted suicide crash on a Flydubai flight to Israel.

Speaking at the White House, Trump confirmed US officials are actively examining potential Iranian involvement following the mid-air attack on the Dubai-Tel Aviv route.

The dramatic incident occurred when an Omani co-pilot allegedly stabbed captain Smit Machchhar and attempted to crash the plane. Alert passengers and off-duty crew members intervened, overpowering the attacker and allowing the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the co-pilot had undergone ‘Islamist radical indoctrination’ and exhibited clear suicidal intent during the assault. Netanyahu noted that the United Arab Emirates is leading the formal investigation with Israeli participation.

UAE prosecutors launched a formal inquiry to determine whether the attack involved organized terrorist activity or intent. Meanwhile, flydubai suspended all flights to Israel as regional authorities work to establish the full background of the attack.
