Washington

United States President Donald Trump on Friday night issued an executive order stating ByteDance, the parent company of popular video app TikTok, part with all data of its US users within 90 days. The order also states that ByteDance is no longer allowed to own any property in the US that is used to operate Tiktok, therefore putting further pressure on the TikTokto to sell its US operation.

Trump's order also retroactively prohibits ByteDance's purchase of Musical.ly, the app that eventually became TikTok, in 2017.
