Tortured woman wins divorce case

A Bahraini woman has won a divorce case following nine miserable years of marriage life, during which she was allegedly beaten up and subjected to humiliations.

The woman’s lawyer Manar Al Tamimi told Tribune that her client got married to the defendant nine years ago and she wanted to get separated from him at the earliest to end sufferings.

“Although the pair was blessed with several children, her husband was nasty and he treated her with reprehensible behavior. He would beat her so hard that her ear got injured and needed a surgical intervention. “He also kicked her out of their apartment three years ago and forced her to share with him their financial commitments under the pretext that she was working.

“As a result, she found that it was difficult to continue her life with him.
