Three men gets jail for illegal entry

Manama : Three GCC national men have been sentenced to three years behind bars for entering the country illegally.

As one of the defendants was facing a jail sentence in his homeland, he did not have permission to enter the Kingdom.

His accomplice reportedly used his look alike brothers identity card to deceive officials at the check point and check in to a hotel in Kingdom.

Police officers, after receiving a tip off about the violation from officers in plain clothes, raided the hotel and arrested them.

A fourth man was with them at the time of the arrest, but he was acquitted of any wrongdoing as he was not aware of their plan.

The first defendant was held guilty of forgery, while the other two were convicted of abetting his crime. The trio will be deported once they complete their prison time.
