His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman and French President Emmanuel Macron held bilateral talks in Paris, focusing on strengthening political, economic, and strategic cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), the leaders discussed a range of issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral relations through increased investment, enhanced trade, and broader economic cooperation.

Both sides stressed the importance of deepening their strategic partnership by exploring new opportunities for collaboration that support sustainable economic growth and advance the shared interests of Oman and France.

Following the meeting, the two leaders witnessed the signing of 12 agreements, a memorandum of understanding (MoU), and several declarations of intent covering various sectors of cooperation.

Among the key agreements was an MoU on logistics, ports, and the Muscat Metro project between Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and the French Ministry of Transport.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Oman by Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and on behalf of France by Philippe Tabarot, Minister of Transport.
