Tokyo: Haruki Murakami, an acclaimed Japanese author, has stated that his novels are completely distinct from fiction generated by artificial intelligence, saying that human experiences and emotions remain central to his writing.

Murakami acknowledged the tremendous growth of AI in creative domains during a recent event, but insisted that machines cannot replicate the depth of living experiences, personal recollections, and emotional complexity that form his work.

The popular novelist, known for works such as Norwegian Wood and Kafka on the Shore, stated that his stories come from intuition, imagination, and the unconscious that he feels distinguish human creativity from AI-generated prose.

Murakami further said that although AI might become a more helpful tool for authors, he does not see it taking over the role of the distinct viewpoint and emotional authenticity that characterize human-written work.
