A horrific accident on King Faisal Highway in Manama took the life of a 40-year-old motorcyclist when a pick-up car rammed into the bike he was riding early today morning.

The pick-up, reportedly a Gulf registration vehicle, had its front ends destroyed, with its front left wheel running over the bike and crushing it onto the tarmac in the high-speed impact.

The bike belongs to a food delivery service in Bahrain. The Interior Ministry, in a tweet, confirmed the accident. "A traffic accident between a vehicle and a motorcycle on King Faisal Highway, resulting in the death of a 40-year-old Asian bike rider," the ministry's tweet reads.
