Focus on gender equality and women empowerment

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA)’s Equal Opportunities Committee held its fourth meeting of 2025, chaired by His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the iGA.

The discussion was part of the iGA’s ongoing efforts to embed the principle of equal opportunities and foster a supportive work environment that contributes to achieving gender balance.

Al Qaed commended the efforts of the committee members in adopting and launching initiatives and programs that align with the government’s directives, and the importance of these efforts in strengthening women’s role in the various digital and technological programs and projects implemented by the iGA.

The Committee reviewed a number of agenda items, including the final report on the governance framework within the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2025–2026).

They also discussed the results of the employee satisfaction survey prepared by the Committee.
