Expats football tourney draws to a close

The Indian Club Expats Football Tournament 2015 draws to a conclusion tonight as the semifinal and final line-ups have been finalised in the Under-15 and Under-19 categories, following action on Tuesday night.

FC Raptors claimed the remaining Under-15 semifinal spot by beating Ford Riffa Challengers 2-1 in a penalty shoot-out, after the teams had finished 1-1 at the end of extra time; the U15 semi finalists were Kia Vikings FC against FC Manama and Mark 7 Strikers and FC Raptors in last night’s matches.

The last group games in the U19 category were also played and with the top two teams in each qualifying for the semifinals also being played last night. Galatarazy FC were taking on Kia Vikings B and FC Flashers battling it out with Dadabhai Sparks.

Tonight’s Grand Finals Evening starts at 8pm with the Finals of the U15 and U19 Categories and the two Semifinals and Final in the Open Category, followed by the prize-giving presentation.

Results: Under-15 (quarter finals): FC Raptors bt Ford Riffa Challengers 2-1 on pens (1-1 AET). Under-19: Group A: Kia Vikings A bt Immortals FC 1-0. Group B: Dadabhai Sparks bt Ford Riffa Challengers 1-0. Open Category: Group A: Salcete FC bt Dnata Al Qirathi 4-0, Al Kerlawi bt Ideal Group 5-0. Dnata Al Qirathi drew Ideal Group 0-0. Group B: Ford Riffa Challengers drew Sky International 0-0.
