The Education Ministry has announced the launch of four development projects for the intermediate level.

Director of Intermediate Education at the Education Ministry Nujood Al Dussary said that many development projects had benefited the intermediate level during the past period, including school management, curricula, continuous assessment, use of ICT in teaching and enhancement of student-oriented services.

She added that four new projects would be launched in the coming period, including the citizenship-promoting project in four schools, the digital empowerment in five schools, the numerical strategy in eight schools and the expansion of the teaching
of French.

“The development process started as early as 2003 with a study conducted by the Education Ministry in collaboration with the UNESCO experts,” Al-Dossary said, explaining that the new projects aim to promote the values of citizenship, co-existence and tolerance.

“It also aims to foster patriotism among students, diversifying practices that take learners’ differences into account and creating a school atmosphere that enhances students’ motivation,” she explained.
